He Called and I Answered

The Holy Spirit called me today and I wasn't too busy to look His way. I waited upon Him in the morning and asked Him to plan my day. It wasn't difficult to see His plan. Just a few simple steps to follow: love my Jesus first and love my fellow man.

My neighbors are important to Him you see and He is concerned about where they'll spend eternity. My job is clear and what to do each day is mapped out for me in a very special way.

You see, He calls me and I answer this way. "Yes Lord. How may I serve You today?" It's not about me or what I think I should do. It's not about you and if you're wise you'll follow Him too.

Today I presented my body as a living sacrifice unto the Lord Jesus. I had to choose to do this. This was not easy but I cry out to Him everyday and through out the day to give me the strength. We have a covenant that I must be faithful to. Jesus is my Lord; He is my master and the one who loves me so. There was never one who loved me like Him. I can honestly say no one has ever loved me so fervently and tenderly as Jesus. There is never a thought I have that He doesn't address. I questioned my comittment to Him earlier because it has meant the loss of many relationships. But He truly is the pearl of great price and I can honestly say that He is worth all the suffering and misunderstandings. Where can I go to hide from Him? Nowhere. I made a vow and I cannot change my mind. I am His and He is mine. I decided to give all of my life to Jesus because I wanted all of His life in me. This means death to my will every day but the benefits are awesome after you get past the fight.
