Will I Be Persecuted?

Grace and peace to the reader from God my Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Right now, I want to really take the time to remember my freedoms and appreciate them. I want to take advantage of them now while I still can.

I am free to tell people that Jesus Loves them. I am free to carry my bible where ever I may go and also read it in public. I am free to tell strangers that I am so glad that God sent His only begotten Son into this world to pay the price for our sins. I am free to publicly express my allegiance to Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I rejoice in it now because slowly but surely the freedoms are slipping away.

However, a child doesn't have the same freedoms that I have if they go to public schools. They cannot talk about their relationship with Jesus. They cannot proclaim their allegiance vocally and they cannot write about it either. Their teachers will tell them that it is not acceptable and they will be reprimanded for it. It paints a grim picture about of the society we are creating for the next generation.

But until that day, I will be free. I will rejoice in the Lord publicly and privately. I will remember Him without shame and give Him the glory and honor due unto His Name!
