At the Name of Jesus.....

Well, I realized something about the power of Jesus' Name last night. While I was at the coffee shop last night, I simply told someone "Jesus Loves You". I saw the power because previously this man had been spewing out obscenities that could only come from the pit of hades. Anyway, a blank stare came across his face, he jumped up and left the scene. Wow, telling someone "Jesus Loves You" can actually cause trouble to flee. Also, the power in Jesus name was demonstrated when he was finally able to return about 10 to 15 minutes later. He changed his seating arrangement to a spot further away from me than before. I could hear him repeating the phrase to his friend to explain why he left.

I can only speculated about what was going through this guy's mind because his behaviour was a little strange after I delivered this simple declaration to him. When I was getting ready to leave, this character jumps up to take a cigarette break. He quickly ran outside and practically ran to a liquor store. I wondered why he was moving so fast. I never gave any indication that I had anything else to say. This guy seemed so uneasy. Hmmmmm! I prayed for him as I drove away.

As I thought about this event later on, I decided that for people to say that Jesus is not real is purely wishful thinking. They wish He was not real. This guy couldn't bear to hear that Jesus Loves Him. If Jesus was not real, what did it matter. But, he knows Jesus is truly who the bible says He is. Thus, he became uneasy when I told him that Jesus Loves Him.
